Summary:

Within product group, own and ensure high quality, at cost, and on-time delivery of all product releases per product roadmap. Responsible for developing and coaching Technical Program Managers within Product group, ensure technical support is provided to non-GP orgs in a way that does not disrupt product delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Own and ensure Monitor Sprint metrics (e.g., Sprint velocity, defect rate etc.) of product portfolio to ensure all engineering output delivered to support product releases is
• High-quality, at-cost, and on-time delivery of all products within product group and re-use across products
• High quality, completed efficiently leveraging GP best practices
• Ensure the optimal allocation of engineering resource by overseeing engineers staffing onto product engineering team
• Support teams in resolving technical product escalations (including issues); where possible, proactively identify and put processes in place to prevent escalated issues from happening again
• Look across different product types and generations to (a) ensure the TPMs are adhering to reuse principles and (b) find ways to further maximize reuse
• Build technical program management capability within GP by coaching Technical Program Managers and product engineering teams
• Guide Technical Program Managers on the design, development, and execution of technical roadmap for a product
• Capture learnings across the teams working on product engineering and promote best practices sharing Maintain strong knowledge of and stay up-to-date on latest relevant technical trends and ensure they are adopted by engineering teams developing
• Products
• Interface with non-GP orgs to triage product related technical questions
• Serve as point of contact on technical support requests from non-GP orgs related to products within product group
• Ensure product delivery is not disrupted by external technical support request by triaging and assigning requests to relevant teams
• Support Product Managers with product roadmap decisions including release schedule
• Work with VP, System, Product and Vehicle Architecture and Product Group MD to ensure all product engineering work is consistent with GP architecture guideline

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a variety of tasks and large technical program management teams
• Collaborative leader who can easily cultivate trust in order to promote teamwork and cooperation
• Deep technical expertise of assigned GP product group and knowledge of product engineering best practices within and beyond the Automotive industry
