What you will do

The Johnson Controls Service Team Manager will coordinate and assign personnel and materials necessary for the prompt, complete inspection and repair of security, fire, card access, and CCTV systems within an assigned territory. You will develop and enhance current capabilities to prepare team members for successful job performance and may manage a small district's service operations.

How you will do it

  • Plan, schedule, supervise, and control service jobs.
  • Read and interpret P&L's, General Ledger, Job Profitability, and Open Job Detail reports.
  • Maintain outright sales and advanced service charge recovery margins.
  • Evaluate system performance for cost savings and product improvement.
  • Research and maintain technical knowledge to advise associates and customers on current standards and new developments.

What we look for

Required

  • Associate Degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Three (3) years' experience conducting repairs, inspections, and service assessments of comparable equipment.
  • Three (3) plus years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional matrix organization and manage conflict resolution issues.
  • Customer centricity is a vital skill for this individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in budgeting & forecasting, financially savvy.

Preferred

  • BA or Associate Degree.
  • Five (5) years' experience in repairs, inspections, and service assessments in the Security or Fire Safety industry.
  • Five (5) years of leadership/supervisory experience.
