Application close date: Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed. At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem- solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. The New Glenn Autonomy integration team is responsible for specifying, verifying, validating, and delivering control software source and object code to the program. We encompass systems engineering and DevOps functions for New Glenn's rocket scientists and control algorithm developers. As the New Glenn program transitions into full rate operation, we need someone who can help us manage the software that flies the various configurations of the rocket and ground systems, as those systems evolve and improve over time. To succeed in this role, you will need to excel in both worlds. From a systems background, you will need to understand the subtle technical differences in the launch system configurations and their implications for software features and functions. From a software production background, you will need to be comfortable configuring, running, and debugging the machinery that delivers our code to the next level of integration. And for the whole thing to come together, you'll need to be an extremely capable communicator and highly organized. This goes above and beyond boilerplate "excellent communication skills" and the degree to which everyone of course would like to be organized. You'll need to know how to present vast amounts of complicated data to decision makers, developers, and integration peers, in a way that keeps them cognizant but not overwhelmed. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
