Position Responsibilities

The Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist role would be responsible for the following

  • Ensuring Deltek Payroll Service's compliance by mobilizing and executing complex projects such as product enhancements, filing requirements, training resources, etc.
  • Driving strategic compliance initiatives with a focus on cost, risk reduction, and increased revenue.
  • Taking the lead role in partnering with Product and business stakeholders to ensure required changes are completed and implemented timely and accurately to meet critical deadlines.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Research, interpret and communicate payroll tax compliance information to payroll service internal team members.
Serving as a resource, as well as a SME, regarding all matters of compliance, including prioritization, follow-up during development and QA, and subsequent testing of software changes.

  • Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with, and communicate with all levels of management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $55500.00 - $97000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
