We are seeking a Sheet Metal Lead to oversee production processes, support team members, and maintain a high standard of efficiency and craftsmanship in our operations. Job Summary: The Sheet Metal Lead (1st -shift) is responsible for guiding production teams in sheet metal fabrication, ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards and optimizing workflow efficiency. This individual will lead daily operations, monitor quality control, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while supporting team development and training. Responsibilities: Lead sheet metal fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production goals. Provide hands-on support and mentorship to teammates, ensuring proper training and onboarding. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, following all safety protocols. Monitor manufacturing workflows, identifying, and resolving bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Oversee documentation of standard work procedures, ensuring consistency in operations. Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and management to improve production methods. Ensure proper use of D365 ERP system for tracking and reporting operations. Assist in troubleshooting technical challenges, helping teammates navigate complex fabrication tasks. Lead daily tier meetings, maintaining communication and coordination across teams. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication (leadership experience is preferred). Strong leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team coordination. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials, and process documentation. Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Hands-on experience working in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
