Job Description

We offer 12-hour rotational shifts. This role is night shift, 6pm-6am.

Pay: $22.66 (including $2/hr shift differential!)

ROLE PURPOSE:Perform a variety of routine duties involved in handling in-process materials, tracking storage locations and quantities, and providing support services to manufacturing departments.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Work from production schedules, work orders, written and verbal instructions. Use or operate handcart, hydraulic floor jack, overhead crane, powered forklift truck and stand-up lift truck. Also utilizes portable data terminals, PC stations, and communication nodes, scales, strapping and cutting tools.
  • As assigned and in accordance with established procedures, gather and move in-process and/or finished goods and materials to and from work and storage areas. Allocate film to orders when required and account for usage. Identify, weigh, and apply appropriate identification markings and catalogue location and/or usage of materials utilizing either electronic or manual tracking systems.
  • Unload or assist in unloading inbound shipments. Check for apparent damage or shortage of materials and supplies; move as required to proper department or storage area; identify, weigh, and apply appropriated identification markings and catalogue location and/or usage of materials utilizing either electronic or manual tracking systems.
  • Maintain the physical inventory system by accurate input of data, labeling, storage, and use of electronic inventory tools on a timely basis. Notify supervision of any difficulty or problems encountered.
  • Provide support services where needed within the departments. Such tasks include but are not limited to providing proper supplies for operators and to maintain a clean work area by disposal of scrap or miscellaneous trash. Perform other similar or related duties as determined by supervision.
  • Record time and other required information on proper forms. Maintain work, storage areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to provide a neat and safe work environment. Observe all prescribed and standard safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum 1 year tow motor experience
  • Able to read, write, follow instructions
  • Able to work from work orders, written or verbal instructions
  • Requires accuracy in counting, checking, verifying, where there is no interpretation or analysis
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to follow 5S standards and Standard Work Practices
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility toward dynamic work environment
  • Good math skills
  • Demonstrated good performance in current role
