Established in 1985 by Frank Hawkins Kenan, the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise is a nonpartisan business policy think tank affiliated with the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. The Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise seeks a research associate to provide research support on academic and translational research projects in collaborations with the Institute's Executive Director, Chief Economist, and Kenan Institute staff. In particular, this position will work on several institute-led research projects with a focus on economic forecasting, including the development of a set of high frequency proprietary regional economic indicators and county-level economic forecasts.

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Must have strong econometric skills as well as proficiency in the use of analytical, statistical and econometric software packages such as STATA, R, Python, SPSS, Matlab and SAS as well as data storage software such as Haver.
