Job Description

Our risk and consulting group, under Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring an Investigative Analyst. The Investigative Analyst will conduct in-depth investigations using a variety of databases, public records repositories, and search engines to deliver detailed and comprehensive investigative reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Maintain full case load of in-depth and often highly detailed investigations
  • Collaboratively decide the most effective and efficient method of case investigation
  • Prepare and document detailed investigative plan of action
  • Research and develop sufficient evidence to conclusively establish facts
  • Analyze data as part of the investigative process using all available resources
  • Prepare and submit findings
  • Communicate accurate information both orally and through written communication to direct reports, team members, and clients as needed
  • Protect the confidentiality of clients and our work product
  • Organize and maintain records of labor and expenses related to investigations
  • Work with others in a congenial and team-oriented atmosphere

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess one of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business; Criminal Justice; Communication; Library, Information, or Political Science; or related field of study
    • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in a research-focused position
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a research-focused position
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management
  • Strong analytical and decision making ability
  • Ability to initiate and coordinate activities to meet goals and objectives
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver high quality results
  • Time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • The ability to work independently in a team atmosphere

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Prior experience in locating and obtaining court records
  • Prior experience in reading, analyzing, and understanding various court records
  • Knowledge of Investigative Databases, such as LexisNexis, WestLaw, IRB, TLO, Factiva and others
  • Knowledge of U.S. criminal and civil court structure at the Federal, State and Local levels
  • Experience in conducting interviews with third parties
  • Knowledge of the basic elements of crimes and sentencing, including probation and parole
  • General understanding of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, EEOC statutes and other laws affecting the use of criminal and civil records when used in investigations (NAPBS certifications a plus)
  • Basic skills in PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop

BENEFITS:

  • Pay rate is $29 per hour, depending on experience

  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
