Job Title: Quality Assurance Documentation Clerk

Department: Quality - 1015

Location: High Bridge, NJ

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to create certification packages for our customers and maintain our filing system, both present and archived. The ideal candidate will prepare certification packages using customer input, material information, and metallurgical instructions. They will input data such as chemical analysis and mechanical testing results into our ERP system, assemble and sort data for reporting purposes, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create certification packages based on customer input, material data, and metallurgical instructions.
  • Enter data related to chemical analysis and mechanical testing into the ERP system.
  • Maintain both current and archived filing systems.
  • Gather and organize data for reporting purposes.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
  • Follow written, oral, and diagram instructions.
  • Assist with audits by retrieving documents quickly for auditors.
  • Close out and file various reports.
  • Assist with general department responsibilities.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.


Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • High school diploma or GED required; two years of related training or experience can substitute.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective email communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to read, interpret, and write documents and reports.
  • Good telephone and overall communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Strong reasoning skills to understand and follow instructions provided in various forms (written, oral, diagram).
  • Capable of solving problems involving several variables.


Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Alternatively, 2 years of related training or work experience can substitute for the education requirement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in effective communication, particularly through email.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting various documents, instructions, and procedures.
  • Experience in writing routine reports and correspondence.
