Description

Under the supervision of the Clinical Analytics Manager, this position is responsible to provide expertise on clinical practice management and electronic health record data acquisition, management, and report design/generation to administration, clinicians, and health care teams. This position will function as part of the quality improvement team and will specialize in the development of data and reporting requirements by studying clinical practice workflows and gathering information by analyzing data and interviewing customers. This position would work very closely with the Quality team to report data that will be used for regulatory reporting and quality improvement.


Examples of Duties

  1. Analyst Duties 100%
  1. Works directly with the Quality Improvement and Clinical Analytics team in designing and performing more complex analyses, database design development, and report creation as appropriate. These analyses will be used for clinical improvements, regulatory measures, and research purposes.
  2. Uses advanced skills and experience to assist in evaluation and improvement of quality performance by presenting complex information in an understandable and compelling manner customized to the audience.
  3. Designs excel reports using data that is provided by TW. This position will provide easy customer access to clinical information needed for past and future clinical data. This data will support the health system's analysis, planning, and improvement needs
  4. Analyzes of data sets/reports, including interpretation of statistical trends and patterns of variation and implications for clinical practice improvement initiatives
  5. Interacts with decision support and informatics professionals to determine efficient capture and merging of information from optimal sources and access to business intelligence tools to generate reports as appropriate
  6. Provides orientation of existing staff and all new staff on database management.
  7. Has knowledge of databases. Query reporting, and all statistical report writing software.
  8. Tests and trains as appropriate for new reporting software or database management systems.
  9. Communicates need for request clarification or meeting through the Clinical Practice Data Analyst Manager as questions arise.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Management, Healthcare Information, Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Management Engineering, Business or closely related fields or as required by the position to be filled in the area of specialization inherent in the position may be required.
  2. Two (2) years (24 months) of data management/analyst work experience in a clinical or healthcare related field.
