We are looking for a driven Secondary K12 College and Career Readiness Account Executive to lead the sales of our dynamic college and career readiness product to CTE-focused middle and high schools, districts and regional education agencies. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, proven skills in acquiring new clients, and a demonstrated ability to exceed sales expectations through strategic territory management.

As an Account Executive, you will drive sales growth and expand course offerings by leveraging Savvas products to support students in grades 6-12 across public, private, charter, and technical schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Sales Growth: Achieves and exceeds sales revenue goals in assigned territories by identifying and closing new sales opportunities.
  • Client Engagement: Identify and collaborate with decision-makers to deliver impactful solutions that significantly boost student achievement and foster academic success. Strategic Planning: Develop multi-year business plans incorporating customer needs and funding criteria to support organizational goals.
  • Market Expansion: Uncover and seize new opportunities while cross selling our products to drive significant client acquisition.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed sales and pipeline reports to monitor secured and potential sales using strategic analytics.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to provide insights into product management development, government relations, customer service and marketing. Work closely with the marketing, government relations, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and provide input on product development and marketing strategies.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Demonstrated success in field sales, particularly in the college and career readiness space, along with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Previous experience expanding curriculum to serve 6-12 students; college and career readiness experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing and managing productive sales pipelines, strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work independently and within a team environment, creative problem-solving skills, and a results-driven approach.
  • Proven success in consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven experience networking with and influencing decision-makers at the secondary K12 level.
  • Ability to drive decision-makers to Savvas sales solutions.
  • Previous success as a strategic sales thinker and an outstanding communicator with a record of executing sales plans.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to a changing organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and presentations, leveraging technology.
  • Must have excellent listening skills in delivering customer-requested solutions.
  • Ability to achieve established sales objectives.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce suite preferred.
  • High learning curve when it comes to gaining knowledge of new and existing product lines and solutions.
  • Ability to use, demonstrate, stay current, and drive technology trends internally and externally.



OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • B.A. degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in sales required; prior work in career and technical education publishing and/or industry preferred.
  • Frequent travel up to 70% is a significant part of this role, especially during peak times. This will involve overnight stays and working hours that typically extend beyond the traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have flexibility in travel and readiness to adjust plans as required to meet business needs, sometimes at short notice, are essential for this role.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a personal computer for a reasonable amount of time, typing and reading as well as when presenting.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to a changing organization and a changing marketplace
  • The ability to handle a high volume of work in a short time, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and operate in a demanding work environment is important.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical to successful performance in this role.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
