Overview

Leads the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process and team to align demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations to optimize customer service levels while minimizing costs. Analyzes and interprets SIOP data to support effective decision-making. Ensures the integration of data from multiple sources to improve forecasting accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Can be located in Milwaukee, WI, Byron Center, MI, or Defiance, OH.



Responsibilities

Leads the SIOP team and process, facilitating cross-functional meetings with sales, operations, finance, and supply chain teams.

Ensures integrated business plans balance demand requirements with production capacity across multiple manufacturing facilities.

Develops and maintains demand forecasts by integrating market intelligence, customer insights, and statistical forecasting models.

Drives consensus between sales forecasts and operational plans to ensure realistic and achievable targets.

Collaborates with plant managers to optimize production schedules and capacity utilization that consider equipment capabilities, material availability, and labor constraints.

Monitors and analyzes production performance metrics, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Establishes and monitors optimal inventory levels for raw materials (steel, aluminum, specialty metals) and finished goods.

Develops safety stock strategies that account for supply chain variability and customer service requirements.

Develops and maintains KPIs for forecast accuracy, inventory turns, customer service levels, and operational efficiency.

Leads, mentors, and manages team, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and collective success while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Job Skills Requirements

    Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced planning software.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical forecasting and demand planning tools
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles, supply chain optimization practices, and continuous improvement methodology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to present data insights to stakeholders.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, data analytics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP) preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Five years of experience in Supply Chain operations (manufacturing, sourcing, purchasing) and/or Commercial Operations.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
