Title: Senior Brand Manager, Sweets Portfolio

Location: Hershey, PA (Hybrid)

The Senior Brand Manager, Sweets Portfolio is a key leadership position for Hershey's mighty sweets portfolio in the US. This Senior Brand Manager is part of a team that manages the full-P&L in the Sweets segment (also known as Non-Chocolate in the Candy category). This leader will guide our growth agenda and portfolio evolution in the segment. Specifically, this role will focus on driving leading core forms in priority brands like Jolly Rancher, Twizzlers, and Sour Strips over a 1yr and 3yr planning cycle.

The Sweets portfolio team operates a 'pool model' of Associate Brand Managers and does not have direct reports. However, as the Senior Brand Manager, this role typically has oversight of 1-2 Associate Brand Managers plus 1 Brand Analyst. The role reports to the Director of Sweets and Refreshment.

About the segment: Sweets is a key growth lever in the company's strategy and Hershey is leading category growth. The company has a #3 market share position and operates like a scaled insurgent.

The Senior Brand Manager, Sweets Portfolio must be effective at:

  • External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers and market trends, and implications to their business
  • Superior marketing planning and periodic re-planning on the business (1yr and 3yr)
  • Developing and presenting recommendations to senior management
  • Demonstrated strength in leadership skills to drive coordination with other functional areas
  • Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach
  • Outstanding analytical abilities
  • Dynamic prioritization of top initiatives to maximize growth
  • Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales and income results
  • Lifelong learner and strong people developer

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or product management in the consumer-packaged goods industry, preferably in a food category
  • MBA preferred
