POSITION SPECIFICS We are searching for deputy office head for the Materials, Manufacturing and Sustainment Office at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. The mission of the Materials, Manufacturing and Sustainment Office (MMSO) is to deliver solutions to address our nation's needs for rapid, cost-effective, weapon system development and sustainment; through the development of novel material solutions coupled with advanced processing, analytical, and manufacturing techniques. The five divisions within the office conduct research in the fields of material science, materials and manufacturing engineering, electro-optics and electronics, systems engineering and sustainment. This position will be filled as either a Research and Development Engineer or a non-tenure Research Faculty. Faculty rank will be commensurate with education and experience. Minimally requires a Master's degree in an engineering or science discipline and 10 years related experience. A Doctorate degree is preferred. Required skills/experience areas include:
