Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a highly motivated Project Assistant to join our Transportation Group in Anne Arundel County, MD. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Program Managers in integrating the heavy maintenance activities into the overall 5-year program
- Assist Program Managers in maintaining and oversighting the heavy maintenance program
- Ensure the heavy maintenance activities are scheduled and completed to meet the strategic plan of MDOT MTA
- Facilitate the coordination and communication between MTA Maintenance of Way, Rail Operations, Rail Control Centers
- Provide guidance and support to MOW Project Managers to initiate mode led maintenance activities and projects
- Proficient in computer application software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project), and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience and/or knowledge of Maryland State laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in administrative assistant's program or related field AND at least 4 years of relevant office experience of which at least 2 years of experience working in the A/E/C industry in an administrative capacity
OR
- If no degree, must have at least 6 years of relevant office experience of which at least 2 years of experience working in the A/E/C industry in an administrative capacity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to produce quality results under strict time constraints
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize projects
