ABOUT THE JOB:

A direct report to the Divisional Finance Director, the Divisional Senior Financial Analyst is a dynamic and visible role intended for a high-potential candidate who is capable of developing into a leadership role at the company. The role requires a combination of strong individual contributions, the ability to work across cross-functional teams both within their Division and across the organization, and strong financial and analytical capabilities. The Divisional Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting Divisional Management with key reporting and analysis to help drive outstanding results.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

The responsibilities of the Divisional Senior Financial Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

* Support Divisional Finance Directors/GMs/VPs with region specific analysis and ad hoc requests analytics to proactively provide strategic input for commercial and operational activities

o E.g. S&OP process, sales contests, sales performance management, VAPS analysis on penetration and pricing, KPI tracking and development

* Assist with quarterly forecast and annual budget process

* Identify issues and propose corrective actions to the Divisional Finance Director

* P&L review, along with submittal of correcting JEs

* Partner/collaborate with accounting/finance personnel and other business leaders to ensure month end activities are complete in a timely manner

* Coordinate, create, and update materials for periodic presentations

* Review monthly financial results and business metrics

* Divisional/Regional Margin Analysis

* Sales forecasts (including deliveries and returns etc.)

* Assist with training of field resources (BOLs, BCs, etc.)

* Drive AR collections process by working with newly hired AR Temp employees

Collaborative Focus

This is a team-based role and will assist in other aspects of finance as well as help drive our Company's Strategies and promote our Mission, Vision and Values. WSC has a highly collaborative culture and the successful candidate will work effectively with a broad group of executives, peers, and field leaders to perform the above responsibilities. Aside from the Divisional Finance Director, key relationships with responsibilities that intersect the finance functions include:

* Divisional VP, General Manager - responsible for the successful operations and strategic planning of the Division

* General Manager - responsible for the successful operations and implementing strategy of each region

* Branch Operations Leader - responsible for operations planning and execution at the branch level

* Branch Coordinator - responsible for all administrative duties at the branch, including month-end accruals/deferrals, A/P resolution, customer A/R resolution and A/R collections

* Vice President, Finance - oversees financial planning and analysis, all management financial and operating reporting, budgeting and forecasting, provides input to WSC's external financial reporting

* Central FP&A team - responsible for financial planning and analysis, all management financial and operating reporting, budgeting and forecasting

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

* BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field

* 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst in corporate accounting, finance, budgeting or planning environment.

* Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

* Experience working with Hyperion & SAP a plus

* Ability to work effectively in teams and communicate effectively with corporate and branch personnel.

* Professional presence with which to interact and influence internally at all levels of the organization (both to Divisional and Functional Management, and to field management (General Managers, Branch Operations Leaders, Branch Coordinators))

* Advanced analytical and modeling skills and comprehension of financial reporting

* Ability to travel up to 25%

Abilities and Other Requirements

The ability to perform work in a variety of work environments from a professional office environment to branch environment to customer construction sites is required. Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, and to move about the various work environments to train, monitor and ensure compliance with all company sales requirements. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to verbally communicate with employees, co-workers and customers in person and by phone. Lastly, the employee must possess a valid driver's license.
