Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers. Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Global Lead for New Markets & Underserved Communities to lead our efforts in entering new markets focused on providing affordable, nutritious, and accessible products to underserved, economically disadvantaged, or nutritionally at-risk communities. This role is designed for an entrepreneurial leader who excels at creating and implementing new sustainable business models that drive social impact while ensuring commercial viability.

In this role, you will lead the development of innovative approaches-such as value chain optimization, equitable pricing models, and mission-aligned partnerships-to address systemic barriers to affordability and accessibility in service of delivering our 2030 Aspirations. Our 2030 Aspirations are an integrated sustainable business strategy that is driven by our purpose to Blend Care and Creativity to Nourish the World. Our 2030 Aspirations require a transformative mindset to support delivery of impact metrics across three areas, 1) sustainable food system networks, 2) a nutritious and sustainable portfolio, and 3) new markets and serving the underserved.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for ensuring the following across the Griffith Foods organization:

Strategic Development of New Business Models


  • Responsible for supporting regions with developing new commercial initiatives/projects that enable Griffith foods to meet the unmet nutritional and affordable needs of underserved markets, aligning with our purpose and 2030 Aspirations.


  • Develop a global roadmap to identify and enter new commercial initiatives/projects, informed and aligned with regional roadmaps that meet the unmet nutritional and affordable food needs of underserved markets through product development, targeted nutrition, and business models that deliver long term financial and social impact.


  • Guide, advise and ensure regional long range plan roadmaps for New Markets and Serving the Underserved (STUS) enable delivery of the global STUS impact metrics including 1 billion meals to nutritionally underserved/overserved by 2030.


  • Assess regional market plans and pilot initiatives to evaluate each regional market's opportunities, challenges, and key success factors.


  • Advocate for and communicate the importance of serving underserved populations to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Market Expansion for Social and Financial Impact


  • Provide project leadership as agreed with the Regions, of regional serving the underserved initiatives, gather data, align on critical KPI's to scale and refine approaches based on outcomes and segment/community feedback.


  • Create innovative business models tailored to local needs, ensuring affordability and scalability, while maintaining commercial objectives.


  • Lead the development of guiding principles and parameters for affordable and accessible nutrition with input from Global and Regional Nutrition Team.


  • Support regional Global and Regional Partnership & Ecosystem teams to build partnerships with local organizations, governments, suppliers, customers and NGOs to strengthen market entry, and sustain pilot to long-term financial and social impact.

Collaboration Across Regions and Functions


  • Partner with Regional and cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, marketing, business development, nutrition and finance, to align objectives and integrate innovative models into the company's operations.


  • Act as a champion for underserved communities within the organization, fostering collaboration to drive impactful solutions.


  • Advocate for mission-aligned practices and business models internally and externally, building momentum for solutions that create meaningful change.


  • Engage with regional teams and leaders to understand unique needs and support to adapt global strategies to local contexts.

Impact Measurement and Iteration:


  • Establish KPIs with global Impact reporting, monitoring and evaluation framework to measure the success of new business models and market entry strategies, including affordability, accessibility, and nutrition metrics.


  • Use data-driven insights and community feedback to refine and scale initiatives.


  • Align global goals with local community needs, market dynamics and regulatory requirements.


  • Share learnings and best practices across the organization to build a culture of innovation and impact.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in market development, business strategy, or related areas, with a portion in a leadership capacity.

Demonstrated program leadership and execution in one or more of the following: sustainable innovation; social entrepreneurship; leading or scaling socially driven food ventures or brands; or leading food, health or nutrition insecurity programs at a regional or global level.

Proven success designing and scaling innovative business models that prioritize affordability, nutrition, and accessibility.

Experience addressing challenges in underserved or emerging markets, particularly in nutrition, foodservice, food processor, or consumer products.

Strong expertise in value chain optimization, pricing strategies, and sustainable operations.

Exceptional relationship-building skills with governments, NGOs, and private sector partners.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Exposure to impact and measurement modeling methodologies.

25-30% international travel required.
