Position Overview


Essential Job Duties
Developing and implementing a new laboratory course in a cutting-edge area of molecular biotechnology in the fellow's area of expertise. Teaching sections at the graduate and undergraduate levels of an existing course that covers the manipulation and expression of recombinant DNA.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include teaching sections at the graduate and undergraduate levels of an existing course that explores manipulation and expression of recombinant DNA and developing and implementing a new laboratory course in a cutting-edge area of molecular biotechnology in the fellow's area of expertise. There are opportunities for mentoring of undergraduate students in authentic research projects and discipline-based education research ( DBER) studies.

Work Schedule Monday - Friday / 8am - 5pm
Department Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in molecular biology or a related field. Candidate must complete all PhD requirements prior to employment.
  • Successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and teaching ability.

  • Previous postdoctoral research experience.
