As the Operator I, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), supporting our manufacturing site is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will manage resources and monitor quality, requiring technical skills and problem-solving abilities at the North Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Handle complex manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient processes
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Manage resources and schedules to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
  • Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
  • Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis
  • Make minor decisions within task scope, requiring technical skills and problem-solving
  • Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations to align with business objectives and drive excellence
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing training
  • Commit to regulatory compliance, meet individual job requirements, and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • Work hours: 2nd Shift 3:30PM - 12:00AM CST
  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
