Position Summary Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Operating Room in collaboration with the Director, Physician leaders and staff. Provide leadership for all intraoperative clinical processes and their outcomes. Facilitate continuous quality improvement by leading, coaching, mentoring and modeling clinical practice behaviors that advance perioperative nursing practice and support staff performance through delegation and follow through. The Intraoperative Manager must possess responsibility and accountability to carry out the common goal/outcome of the organization. Responsible for the safe competent care delivery to all surgical patients in a variety of specific age groups from neonatal to pediatric, and from adult to geriatric. Education Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred and/or commitment to obtaining advanced degree Experience A minimum of five years' experience in perioperative clinical practice and a minimum of two years in a managerial role. Skills Demonstrated leadership and ability to lead and manage in a similar or equivalent hospital Operating Room environment. BLS required; Advanced Life Support required. Current unencumbered license in the State of New Jersey. Full time employment status (40 hours per week). Member AORN. CNOR preferred and/or attained within 18 months of appointment.
