Social Worker - LMSW (PRN)

Summary:

This position will provide direct Social Work services to patients and families who have acute or chronic medical conditions. The Social Worker provides ongoing supportive counseling aimed at maintaining the functional behavior of families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement that aids the family's efforts in caring for their child in either the ambulatory or inpatient care setting.

Note: This PRN position will provide coverage for nights and weekends.

Education, Experience & Licensure:

• MSW or MSSW from an accredited school.

• Previous experience working in a hospital setting preferred.

• Experience working with children and families preferred.

• Current Texas License for LMSW.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers is required within 30 days of employment.
