What You'll Do

This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

The HELOC Processor supports a fast-paced department responsible for processing and funding HELOC and fixed equity loan applications. The role coordinates scheduling of member appointments at branches or mobile notaries for loan execution which fund in the loan funding Department. The HELOC Processor supports a centralized processing, funding, and closing environment.

  • Processes HELOC and fixed equity loan applications received from virtual banking department and retail branches.
  • Validates stipulations, including but not limited to: income, review title, Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PCR) and automated value model (AVM), and flood insurance verification.
  • Works with members to ensure an efficient process to closing.
  • Maintains consistent communication with retail Bankers and virtual banking team regarding status of files and needed items.
  • Prepares welcome letters for members.
  • Supports Home Equity email box, answering questions presented by retail Bankers and virtual banking associates.
  • Supports centralized processing, closing, and funding of HELOCs and fixed 2nd equity loans. Establishes a line of communication with members throughout process.
  • Works with third-party vendors to complete appraisals and title requests. Handles title issues with third-party title company to clear liens, judgements, and other items that may prevent a lien in favor of the Credit Union.
  • Assists the virtual banking team with loan questions and member inquiries to support the internal partnership.
  • Assists with other projects in the Loan Fulfillment department, including system upgrade testing, new lending products, promotions, and procedures.
  • Assists the team with escalated questions and complex tasks using critical thinking skills to offer innovative and effective solutions, consulting with department leadership when appropriate.
  • Responsible for the training of new associates in the department, building trust with new team members and offering one-on-one support throughout their introductory period.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associate's Degree or experience with mortgage lending practices, guidelines, and closing documents.
  • 5 to 8 years of similar or related experience. of HELOC or mortgage loan processing experience.
  • NMLS license required.
  • A passion for people, innovation, and growth.
