Matthews, email: bob.matthews@myfirstfarmers.com Role: To support the operations of the Bank through maintenance of deposit account records and reports. Performs duties of moderate to high complexity, in accordance with standard procedures and under moderate supervision. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: E 40% Reconciles and balances NSF, non-post, cash items, safe box. E 15% Answers customer inquiries about accounts and provides problem resolution. E 10% Assists branch personnel with customer service issues. E 10% Provides CIS maintenance / account maintenance. E 10% Reviews stop payments, processes garnishments and levies, ACH returns, chargebacks. E 10% Provides backup assistance for other functions in the department N 5% Performs other related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: 1. To comply with the letter and with the spirit of the bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. 2. To prepare all reports within the prescribed time frame and with zero errors. 3. To assist Central Balancing in keeping all assigned general ledger accounts current and in balance daily. 4. To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations. 5. To maintain the confidentiality of customer and any other sensitive information. 6. To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity. 7. To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff. Knowledge and Skills: Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills Good Keyboard and 10-key skills; must be able to operate general office equipment including calculator, copy machine, computer, telephone; requires lifting and motion tasks. Must be able to use Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines. |
