We have immediate per diem (PRN) shifts available for the following position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Livingston, NJ.

Requirements:

  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Required Skills: Antepartum, Facility births/month >300, Labor and Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, LDRP, Mother/Baby, Teaching Hospital, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Asthma, Cardiac disease, COVID, Diabetes mellitus, HELLP Syndrome, HIV, Infectious disease, Malpresentations (breech / face / brow), Multiple Gestation, Neurological disease, Placenta Previa/Abruptio, Pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, Premature Rupture of Membranes, Preterm labor, RH incompatibilities, Seizure disorder, Substance Abuse, Uterine rupture, VBAC management / trial of labor, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC), Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Anticoagulants, Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline, Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, Scrub for C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam, APGAR scores, Baby Nurse ("Baby Catcher"), Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Neonatal Resuscitation, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Assist with Circumcision/Assess site post-op, Car Seat Education, Cord Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Phototherapy, Teach Circumcision care to parents, Thermoregulation, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, IV conscious sedation, Opioids, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV), Baby friendly protocols, Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Use of Electric/Manual breast pump, Wound Assessment and Care, Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Bladder Distension, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Vaccine Administration, Cervical Cerclage, D & C, Tubal Ligation
