Background information:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of cutting-edge cloud-based integration, automated testing and data analysis for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to be based in our Arlington, VA office (hybrid).Leveraging advanced software automation, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and AI-driven capabilities, IDT accelerates capability development, enhances operational readiness, and reduces lifecycle costs for the Department of Defense. The company is dedicated to transforming defense systems through innovation, efficiency, and mission-critical results.
Overview:
As Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will assist in all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle as well as provide administrative support for IDT's Emerging Talent Program. This Program is a unique and immersive experience designed to attract, develop, and retain high performers who share our vision of developing innovative, industry-leading solutions for our customers in the DOD. The Emerging Talent Program offers exciting internship and early career opportunities across various career tracks including engineering, operations, and security.
The ideal candidate will have a curiosity and interest in talent acquisition and human resources. In this role, you will be part of the Talent Acquisition team, an innovative group dedicated to hiring the best talent quickly, maintaining our culture, and creating a positive candidate and employee experience. This position reports into the Strategy Talent Acquisition Lead.
All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Arlington, VA office.
Responsibilities Include:
50% Talent Acquisition Operations
  • Provide operational and administrative support for open positions across multiple offices
  • Post job descriptions on our applicant tracking system (Jobvite)
  • Schedule candidate interviews with recruiters and hiring managers
  • Serve as point of contact for external candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Collect and file important paperwork from candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Conduct candidate reference checks
  • Update and maintain Talent Acquisition documents on SharePoint
50% Emerging Talent Functions
  • Assist in conducting campus hiring across multiple U.S. offices, including recruiting recent college graduates, summer interns, and annual co-ops
  • Assist with posting internships and associate job descriptions
  • Schedule phone screens and interviews for intern and early talent candidates
  • Participate in and schedule in-person and online networking events with colleges and universities
  • Support the Lead Campus Recruiter with other duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent full-time professional experience
  • Curiosity and interest in recruiting and/or human resources
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Customer Service Orientation - passion for upholding a high level of service with demonstrated responsiveness and flexibility
  • Communication - excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organization - ability to accomplish tasks in an organized, timely fashion; highly detail-oriented
  • Prioritization & urgency - ability to handle multiple competing priorities and follow-through on tasks
  • Proactivity - take initiative to reduce bottlenecks and make suggestions for improvement
  • Confidentiality - handle tasks and sensitive documents & information with highest confidentiality
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • Prior internship or full-time experience in talent acquisition, human resources, campus recruiting, event planning and/or higher education
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Jobvite)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint
  • SHRM Certification or Membership
