Come join our GTE Financial team! We are looking for a strategic, sales leader to join as a Senior. Manager, Bank @ Work Engagement. The Sr. Manager is responsible for executing a highly effective brand, marketing, and communication strategy to achieve organizational goals, increase awareness of the credit union solutions, and position GTE Financial for future membership growth. This individual must be a highly organized, relationship-focused service professional who can move from strategic planning to tactical implementation with proficiency and positivity. The ideal candidate can function in a high-paced, highly regulated environment, with a multitude of internal business clients. The role is responsible for autonomously implementing marketing, promotions, communication, and engagement activities (like events and workshops) from start to finish, with a focus on the retail (branch), network, business banking and ancillary services. What does GTE look for in a Sr. Manager, Bank at Work Engagement? Business Development/Networking
- Responsible for developing and leading the business development efforts of the Bank @ Work program for the institution, which focuses on educating and delivering financial solutions to employees of our member households.
- This role will concentrate on the Community Financial Center (branch) network, business banking, and ancillary departments and will require regular on-site visits to businesses and not-for-profits to deliver advice, guidance, and education about financial solutions.
- Responsible for developing a cross-sale initiative to other business groups from events and seminars held at existing and new community partners (or Select Employee Groups).
- This role will also be responsible for the financial literacy and education strategy, creating and optimizing resources to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of financial solutions.
- Responsible for new membership acquisition, expanding market share, and member onboarding, to increase awareness and utilization of the credit union solutions and positioning GTE Financial for future growth.
Leadership
- Strong leadership, business acumen, and strategic agility in planning, leading, and driving change in the organization while meeting and exceeding business objectives.
- Attracts, retains, and develops talent to increase bench strength, improve productivity, proficiency, member engagement, and overall competitive position.
- Coaches, trains, and manages an in-house team, ensuring seamless delivery of solutions to employees of our business banking households. Prepares timely evaluations that measure performance and provide direction for future growth and development. Practices Integrity Coaching and demonstrates Core Brand Value principles
Strategic
- The Sr. Manager will be responsible for creating a strategy around key community partnerships for retention, expansion, and acquisition. The role will be responsible for assigning outreach metrics for retention, expansion, and acquisition targets.
- Contributes to the Annual Marketing "Calendar" planning. Responsible for developing action items and key success indicators while regularly and proactively supplying performance insights and recommendations to Leadership.
- Works closely with stakeholder departments and business groups to balance and adjust annual plans so that all vested parties achieve set goals. Oversees internal onboarding and communications for campaigns and initiatives to ensure seamless execution. Develops employee communication highlighting significant advances and publishes support materials, intranet posts, and frequently asked questions to educate the sales force.
Experience:
- A community leader who actively builds relationships and seeks out partnerships that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Must be a proficient and engaging speaker and writer capable of creating compelling and polished strategic presentations. Communicates effectively with all employees to ensure a positive and clear understanding of credit union goals and strategic direction.
- Demonstrates exemplary interpersonal skills with direct experience working cooperatively and effectively with all levels of management.
Operational:
- Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
- Must qualify for National Mortgage License System number (NMLS) and must obtain the Florida Department of Financial Services Credit Life and Disability License.
- Bilingual optional (English/Spanish).
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Minimum five years' experience in marketing or the financial industry space with at least five years of progressive management experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Possess a minimum of five years of prior management experience.
Position Details:
- Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
- Department Hours: Monday- Friday (9:00 am to 6:00 pm) // Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects. Work arrangement will primarily be working onsite at our CFC locations and sometimes remote or in the office. The position, however, is defined as hybrid in nature, (in-office, or remote) and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible. Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:
- A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to our members.
- Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
- Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
- Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
- Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
- Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
