Overview:
The VP - Investment Portfolio Manager's primary role is to guide clients through the bank's investment process with clarity and precision. They provide strategic financial insights tailored to each client's objectives and risk tolerance, ensuring proper alignment with their investment strategy.
Responsible for guiding clients through the bank's investment process and ensuring alignment with their objectives and risk tolerance. They maintain up-to-date Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and conduct annual reviews to support informed decision-making.
This role includes managing portfolio rebalancing and transitions for new clients, as well as assessing legacy retained assets for potential disposal. They contribute new investment ideas to FBB forums and provide clients with historical and forward-looking market insights.
Additionally, they respond to client inquiries promptly, collaborate on business development efforts, and assist in creating RFPs, marketing materials, and sales decks. They ensure directed positions are properly documented and advise on investment decisions with a focus on income and tax implications.
Position Requirements:
  • A 4-year College degree is required.
  • CFA, CIMA, and/or CFP preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of investment industry experience is required with at least 5 years in a portfolio management/investment decision-making capacity.
  • NASD Series 6 or 7, Series 65, and State Insurance Licenses are not required. Industry specific certifications are beneficial.
  • Broad understanding of the uses and purposes of various financial instruments and products.
  • Ability to accurately assess the risks and rewards inherent in a wide-ranging variety of financial instruments and to share that information with the Trust Investment Committee and clients/prospects.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, including statistical analysis is important.
  • Must be able to think creatively about situations to arrive at a less than obvious solution to problems.
