* Investigate high exposure domestic and international Financial Lines claims (E&O) that involve complex issues and/or litigation - requires qualified legal analysis
* Evaluate and address coverage issues, analyze facts, and ensure timely and appropriate reserving levels * Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Lawyers, Independent Adjusters, Experts). * Manage a portfolio of complex E&O claims from initial report to final resolution * Oversee and direct claim activities focusing legal aspects of high-value, complex claims. * Develop and implement strategies for investigation, evaluation, disposition, and settlement of assigned claims. * Conduct thorough investigations to validate the accuracy and legitimacy of claims. * Analyze information gathered during investigations and report findings and recommendations. * Negotiate and bring claims to resolution, both directly and through defense attorneys. * Analyze and interpret complex E&O insurance policies and coverages. * Independently draft and issue timely reservation of rights letters and denials as needed. * Analyze and evaluate insurance coverage issues and make recommendations. * Establish and maintain appropriate indemnity and expense reserves for claims, monitoring their adequacy throughout the claim lifecycle. * Identify and recommend reserve adjustments for claims exceeding their assigned authority. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Bachelors degree- REQUIRED * Juris Doctor (J.D) preferred but not required * 3-5 years of experience analyzing complex claims * E&O (errors and omissions) knowledge and experience * Claims analysis and risk review * Expertise in relevant products, wording, terms and conditions and coverages * Knowledge of claims handling process from notification settlement and recovery * Understand reserving principles and other insurance and risk transfer applications * Understand legal processes: litigation management/avoidance; and effectively strategy for optimal resolution * Monitor legal and legislative developments relevant to Line of Business * Specialized understanding of Line of Business products and portfolio with technical specialist knowledge. * Specialized understanding of regional/local Line of Business markets and competitor landscape. * Recognized relationship building with brokers at peer group level. * Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework. * Prior experience or ability to work in complex, global matrix organization. * Multi-lingual is a plus *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
