Job Posting:

Ensures demand planning process is effectively developed to provide optimal service to support business needs while balancing the optimal levels of inventory. Builds and reinforces professional and high-quality development of planning and forecasting practices in accordance with overall business objectives. Utilizes system functionality to present scenarios for 18-36-month future horizons. Works cross functionally with Finance, Sales, Merchandising, Replenishment, and Supply Planning to ensure all teams are aligned on the future demand signal. Decisions regarding demand at the style/color/size level have significant financial impacts to Kontoor related to internal inventory carrying costs. The accuracy of the demand signal is vital to reduce/eliminate distressed inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates cross-functionally to gather account level and brand level sales plans for all brands in order to develop style level demand and produce a Kontoor shipping forecast that aligns with Kontoor goals.
  • Determines seasonal open-to-buy plans.
  • Leads teams in adapting processes, systems and approaches to improve functional areas and brand's ability to meet customer and consumer needs across all global regions.
  • Maintains strategy alignment with related parties to optimize the key performance indicators.
  • Leads inventory management with monthly cut-off activities and yearly plan with solutions.

Management Responsibilities

  • Management responsibilities for a team of professionals including management of people, defining jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department's future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning with a proven track record of success preferred.
  • Strategic planning and decision-making responsibilities related to demand opportunities and risks
