About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

We're looking for a creative, agile Social Media Manager to help bring our brand to life across platforms and reach travelers where they already spend their time. Reporting to the Senior Director of Social Media & PR, you'll focus heavily on creating and editing short-form video content that captures the spirit of our destinations, tours, and travel experiences. You'll help manage the day-to-day execution of our content calendar while also staying nimble-ready to jump on trends, real-time moments, and topical conversations that align with our voice.

This role is equal parts content creator, digital storyteller, and community builder. You'll support co-branded campaigns, partner content, and creator collaborations to expand our reach, while helping shape how both new and existing audiences discover and emotionally connect with our brand. If you're passionate about travel, fluent in the language of social, and excited to create content that inspires action, this is the role for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute the social media content calendar in coordination with the Senior Social Media Manager, aligning posts with seasonal campaigns, promotions, and travel trends.
  • Working with external partners as needed, create, film, and edit engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and additional social media channels.
  • Write compelling, on-brand captions and social copy that spark interest and reflect the voice of the brand.
  • Assist with day-to-day posting, scheduling, and publishing across all key social platforms.
  • Support on-location shoots and content capture for events, activations, and additional content acquisition opportunities as needed.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and DMs, and engage with tagged and trending content to build community.
  • Stay on top of social media trends, viral sounds, hashtags, and emerging formats to pitch timely and relevant content ideas.
  • Ideate and execute co-branded content in collaboration with partners, sponsors, and influencers.
  • Support influencer and creator partnerships by coordinating content needs, tracking deliverables, and engaging with their posts on behalf of the brand.
  • Source and curate user-generated and creator content for repurposing, with proper credit and brand alignment.
  • Assist in identifying new creators and influencers for potential collaborations, particularly those aligned City Cruises target audience sectors.
  • Track and report on performance metrics to support content optimization, social strategy, and team reporting.
  • Maintain organized content libraries and asset folders, collaborating with internal marketing and creative teams.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience managing brand social media accounts, preferably in travel, tourism, hospitality, or lifestyle.
  • Proven experience creating, editing, and publishing short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush) and a strong visual eye for framing, transitions, and storytelling.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to match brand voice, write engaging captions, and craft compelling social post copy.
  • Deep understanding of social trends, platform algorithms, best practices, and emerging content formats.
  • Comfortable capturing content on-location (sometimes in dynamic, fast-paced environments), including mobile videography and quick-turnaround editing.
  • Experience collaborating with creators, influencers, and/or brand partners on social-first content.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into content adjustments or new ideas.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
  • Passion for travel and curiosity about destinations, cultures, and experiences that connect people.

The position will be a full-time remote position, with willingness and ability to travel for content capture, events, or brand activations; some weekend or evening availability may be required based on campaign needs.
