Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Radiology Clinical Instructor to join the team. This role will be full-time night shift from Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Diagnostic Imaging Radiology Clinical Instructor Job Responsibilities:



  • Provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to Radiology Students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions.
  • Acts as a liaison between Inova Health System's Hospital Radiology Services and administrative program personnel by fostering effective and efficient educational opportunities.
  • Takes ownership of imaging QC/QA and, in conjunction with administrative program personnel, PI for students necessitated by clinical performance.
  • Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Orients, educates and develops Student Radiologic Technologists to ensure competencies and abilities to fulfill specified responsibilities.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Education: Associate degree or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with a valid certification.
  • Licensure: Must be certified by at least one of the following:

    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
    • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
    • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
    • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

  • Experience: Three years of experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in a hospital/ healthcare environment.
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Prior experience as an educator, instructor or mentor.
