Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for an experienced ProjectEngineer to join our expanding Technical Operations department. This team is pivotal in the successful development and integration of PDW products, ensuring compliance with all system-level requirements and the high-quality standards for which PDW is recognized.

In this role, Project Engineers will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating an accurate MS Project schedule. An effective schedule will represent and translate all technical aspects of each program into a clear timeline for each phase of the development lifecycle. The Project Engineer is responsible for cross-development input and adherence to the baseline schedule. Each Project Engineer will also be fully engaged in system-level integration, issue resolution, and root cause analysis, all while maintaining regular and clear communication regarding defined program milestones and any critical impacts to key stakeholders. The focus of the Project Engineerwill be internal and external management for program-related strategic partners.

What You'll Do


  • Collaborate with all developmental groups of the project lifecycle to create a fully aligned and feasible program schedule.
  • Coordinate and ead all programmatic phases/Milestones of the program timeline through the full development lifecycle .
  • Participate in the generating of Use Cases, System level, and Derived Requirements, while additionally managing the control of the baselined scope output.
  • Maintain and communicate a detailed project schedule to drive programs toward successful completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with System Test Engineers for Validation testing of all PDW products, ensuring compliance with Use Cases and System Requirements while maintaining high reliability standards
  • Lead weekly programmatic touchpoints across multiple departments to address any delays, impacts, or slips to the program schedule
  • Drive and lead early mitigation conversations to ensure adherence to the baseline schedule when impacts arise
  • Identify, track, and maintain a program Risk Register while fostering regular risk discussionsthroughout the program to identify and drive mitigation opportunities

Requirements


  • 3 or more years of project engineering or project management experience with a strong understanding of technical design
  • Strong understanding of the full development life cycle for New Product Introduction
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
  • Proficiency in design principles, engineering design processes, and root cause
  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies with an emphasis on hybrid approaches
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and simply to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering/Program Management, or a closely related field.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift/carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. Must be physically capable of walking between the office and production areas and attending events or meetings off-site as needed.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with occasional work in a manufacturing setting. It requires the use of standard office equipment and systems. This role involves cross-departmental collaboration and both independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard work hours for this position are 8:30AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or off-hour work as business needs arise.
