HIRING RANGE: $4,600 - $10,000 stipend; prorated if less than a full season

POSITION SUMMARY Responsibilities include but not limited to administration and promotion of the program consistent with the goals and mission of the college, and consistent commitment to the recruitment of student-athletes. The candidate should have a complete knowledge of the sport and the ability to teach and motivate student-athletes to be successful academically and athletically. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Recruit, train, and coach students-athletes. 2. Organize, schedule and supervise practice sessions. 3. Schedule games. 4. Coordinate team travel. 5. Perform administrative tasks including budget management. 6. Order and inventory all equipment. 7. Generate additional funds for support of the program through fundraising. 8. Hire and supervise assistant coaches. 9. Provide a high quality of moral and ethical leadership. 10. Ability to work with diverse populations. 11. Participate in achieving departmental and college goals and objectives. 12. Perform related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's Degree. 2. Three (3) years of college, high school, or sport experience. 3. Valid Driver's License. 4. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence. 5. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills. 2. Computer experience and technology skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office. 3. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency. 4. Demonstrated multicultural competence. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. The employee is often required to stand, walk, run, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus. 2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events. 3. Ability to travel in state and nationally. WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Duties are performed indoors and outdoors daily, as weather conditions permit, in the athletics environment. Noise level can be moderate to loud. Full Time/Part Time: Part time
