Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000

The Subscription Finance Portfolio Manager supports all activities for Apple Bank's Subscription Finance Team, encompassing underwriting and managing existing credits while assisting in loan growth and helping to build client relationships. Specific responsibilities include performing periodic credit reviews, addressing loan amendments and modifications, and maintaining reporting and compliance trackers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the underwriting of credits, analyzing financial statements, and preparing due diligence approval packages for both new loans and modifications., using independent judgment.
  • Evaluate private equity fund limited partners, analyzing publicly available information towards determining their inclusion in the borrowing base.
  • Prepare and present deal screening memorandum and prepare approval memorandum.
  • Complete the risk rating scorecard; analyze and interpret the risk rating results and support rating recommendation.
  • Assess industry/market/external factors impact on the credit transaction.
  • Monitor adequate completion of credit approval process, closing, and post approval items.
  • Participate in ongoing pipeline meetings.
  • Complete post-closing credit files and maintain post-closing files.
  • Maintain trend cards on a timely basis and ensure that files are kept up to date and orderly.
  • Prepare and present account updates to senior leadership during quarterly portfolio review.
  • Participate in client calls and onsite visits to gain exposure to clients.
  • Exposure to more complex deals through mentorship with, deal shadowing and other learning opportunities.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, internal bank commercial loan policy, credit risk management policy, and external regulatory requirements; identify and report exceptions and mitigate.
  • Prepare and manage reports associated with periodic portfolio reviews, pipeline management, and other related files.
  • Assist in the approval of loan advance requests, in coordination with the Subscription Finance Team and loan administration.
  • Monitor financial performance and loan covenant compliance of borrowers.
  • Ensure portfolio data is accurate, timely, and complete to ensure strong quality and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as requested as well as ad hoc tasks/projects.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years of related experience required, with Subscription Finance experience preferred.
  • Strong credit analysis and risk assessment skills.
  • Detailed coaching and development of current portfolio analyst skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent project management skills and strong ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal + written).
  • Embraces teamwork in the context of a highly collaborative and fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-starter who is confident and comfortable managing a transaction.
