Job Overview:

The Ingersoll Rand compression business is looking for a Junior Inside Sales Specialist to execute critical growth capabilities within the demand generation team. This position will report directly to the National Inside Sales Leader and will have opportunities for cross-brand/channel collaboration and development. This role is key to the organization as it will have responsibility for rapid response to inbound customer parts inquires via phone calls. Responsibilities will also include the quotation and closure of orders based on customer inquiry. Additionally, the ideal candidate will execute quotation nurturing within the Ingersoll Rand Direct Channel to positively impact sales/bookings from end customers. By taking a customer-centric approach, we can create real value throughout the customer buying journey and deliver an overall competitive advantage in the market. The right candidate will bring a combination of experience in: direct to end-user sales, customer service, and problem solving.

Responsibilities:


  • Respond to and qualify inbound customer inquiries (phone and demand generation) to quote and close parts orders, driving bookings growth for the IR Direct Channel

  • Assist customers with parts identification, generate accurate quotations, and educate them on complementary offerings to support conversion to orders

  • Follow up on CPQ quotes-both self-created and Direct Channel-generated-to nurture leads and drive order fulfillment

  • Generate and pass along qualified opportunities to commercial teams to support broader business growth

  • Ensure timely and compliant order hand-off, maintaining 100% accuracy in PO acceptance and processing

  • Collaborate with sales, service, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless, timely, and positive customer experience

  • Operate with urgency and efficiency, balancing exceptional customer service with adherence to standard work procedures

  • Maintain accurate customer records in Salesforce CRM and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and stakeholders



Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial compressed air sales and service organization

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss technical requirements and specifications

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure

  • Proficiency in time management and task prioritization

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with local and remote teams

  • English fluency
