Daikin Applied is seeking a (Minneapolis-Based) Supply Chain Analyst II! The Supply Chain Analyst II will be responsible for supporting the evaluations of supplier targets and ensuring their successful integration. Under general supervision, this position plays a key role in managing procurement requirements, developing robust reporting systems, participating in key sourcing events, and collaborating across facilities to drive continuous improvement initiatives. What you will do:



  • Conducts risk and quality assessments, perform trade compliance audits, identify cost reduction opportunities, and optimize supplier relationships
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with functional managers and supply chain management to understand current and future business needs and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Pre-qualify potential suppliers to mitigate future supply disruptions
  • Review supply chain and logistics analytical processes and procedures; identify, recommend, and implement improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs
  • Evaluates proposals/quotes to recommend suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements
  • Develops relationships with external partners to develop supplier contracts that meet the strategic vision of the company
  • Generates supplier ratings and monitors performance. Partners with external stakeholders to drive changes to improve supplier performance
  • Leads or participates in supply chain cost improvement projects
  • Lead or participates in business process improvement projects to develop and implement Purchasing Functional Excellence Processes, procedures, and tools
  • Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related fields
  • Advanced Analytical skills - Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity determination, variance analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Skills and Experience:



  • Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Follow Through - Can work autonomously to ensure consistent and timely follow-up
  • Self- Motivated - Can work in situations that are less defined up front, then home in on the scope to completion
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical abilities such as parsing complex data sets and information to problem-solve developing creative solutions to complex problem

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $105,600 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
