Job Description Summary:

The Accounts Payable Unclaimed Property Specialist will be responsible for identifying and tracking all GMR Unclaimed Property. This person will follow the proper company procedures in review of invoices and checks to determine if they are compliant with company policies and procedures. To be successful in this role, you must be highly organized, detailed and multi-task oriented as well as be able to function in a fast-paced environment . The Accounts Payable Specialist will also work with customer service and assist with scanning and data entry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify all outstanding property/outstanding Accounts Payable checks and consider potential unclaimed property.
• Coordinate with Payroll and Bank Reconciliation Specialists in researching the item to determine whether the items are outstanding.
• Determine when items should be reported to the states.
• Perform due diligence to determine if the owner can be located and paid.
• Prepare and remit the unclaimed property reports.
• Input processed invoices into Oracle and Basware systems.
• Verify Oracle batches for accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

• Three-five years of experience in a high volume transaction processing unit in accounts payable required.
• Two-Four years' full cycle Accounts Payable knowledge required
• Knowledge of the bank reconciliation, journal entries and GL coding
• Two years' experience with Unclaimed Property

Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarity with Oracle application or similar large automated accounts payable systems preferred
• Strong understanding of disbursements and bank operations as it relates to Accounts Payable.
• Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, Excel, Word and ERP systems is required.
• Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail and deadline oriented and focused.
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with limited supervision
