El Centro's Program Assistants are critical to our mission, as student employees who support professional staff with programming and lead projects. Occasionally, they may assist with managing our front office/reception area. Program Assistants are responsible for keeping the "Home Away From Home" environment that El Centro is known for, and directing students and other visitors to appropriate resources on campus. Program Assistants will leave UNM and El Centro not only equipped with the knowledge learned from their program of study but also with hands-on experience and tangible skills for post-graduation endeavors.
