Material Handler

Staffmark is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join a dynamic team in Clayton, IN. In this role, you'll play a key part in the movement and tracking of materials, tools, and products throughout the facility to support daily operations and production goals. Don't wait, apply today!

Pay: $18.00/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and storage areas
• Transport items to designated locations within the facility
• Read work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to identify required materials
• Sort and store items by size, type, or product code on racks, shelves, or bins
• Fulfill and distribute stock requests to production and assembly areas
• Assemble orders and prepare them for shipping or staging
• Label materials and update inventory records in the system
• Open crates, bales, and containers as needed
• Count, weigh, and inspect items for accuracy and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 months of related experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable standing, walking, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks
• Basic math skills and ability to follow simple written/verbal instructions
• Familiarity with inventory systems is a plus
