About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and talented engineer to join our Capacitors team. You will have the opportunity to support product and process development from concept to commercialization. You will be partnering cross-functionally with a technically strong, experienced, and highly engaged team. The successful candidate for this position will be self-motivated, technically strong, excited to motivate and lead others, and drive ownership to challenging process development opportunities.

In this role the candidate will work cross-functionally to develop capable processes and technologies on new products and to ensure efficient and effective transfer of product into production.Key deliverables may include:




  • Being a process owner
  • Working directly with the capacitors team to develop, improve, and validate processes
  • Qualifying equipment and/or tooling, creating equipment recipes, collecting & assessing the data, and communicating the results to your team
  • Providing strong leadership and problem solving to enable medical device innovation
  • Using your technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective commercialization of new products and targeted improvements



At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:




  • Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design & develop processes and advance tooling and/or automation
  • Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes
  • Develop, write, & review process validation strategy and related deliverables to meet quality system requirements (e.g., Experiment tech reports, GR&R, TMV, IQ, PRAs, etc.)
  • Execute the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems
  • Develop experimental strategy and present technical data and recommendations at technical reviews
  • Work cross-functionally to lead, own, develop, & deliver capable and robust processes and equipment to operations
  • Oversee development builds associated with the project using special work requests
  • May serve as core team member or extended team member on new product projects



Required qualifications:




  • BS in Engineeringor closely related discipline and 2+ years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role
  • Experience with Process Verification and Validation
  • Demonstrated engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills



Preferred qualifications:




  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative, cross-functional, cross-site environment
  • Expertise in New Product Development
  • Fixture and equipment design or trouble shooting experience
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience
  • Laser welding experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • CAD experience
  • Minitab and/or statistics experience

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
