Summary:

Under the direction of the VP of Product Strategy, the Product Manager is responsible for the products defined in their product portfolio. The Product Manager will establish and maintain the Product roadmap(s) in partnership with Business stakeholders to maintain, enhance, and in some cases replace the Product(s) to meet or exceed strategic imperatives. The Product Manager should have a basic understanding of contemporary platform businesses, including the business strategies and technologies enabling these businesses. This role must maintain a broad and up to date view of the market(s) related and adjacent to the Product(s), including competitors, wider technology and commercial trends, and potential sources for disruption.

Responsibilities:

Strategy/Planning

  • Maintain an understanding of overall business strategy and how the Product(s) fit into this strategy

  • Maintain a deep understanding of current and prospective customers and channels

  • Project integration & leveraging pharmacy strategy.

  • Partner with business leaders, Product Owners and stakeholders to plan a roadmap that supports business strategy

  • Collaborate with internal and 3rd party architects, designers, developers, project managers, and others to translate business strategy into detailed requirements and a development plan

  • Drive innovation by incorporating broader technology and solution trends into Product roadmaps

  • Interface with customers regarding strategy, Product(s), value propositions, and support

  • Develop and manage the go-to-market strategy for the Product(s)

  • Work with Communications and Marketing teams to develop a customer communications strategy that promotes engagement and understanding of the Product(s)

  • Benchmark and manage the Business value metrics established for the product including run and enhancement costs, ROI, etc.; work with Commercialization leadership to address variances in committed value

  • Oversee the development and negotiation of service-level agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) in support of the Product(s)

  • Manage Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) process to support building and maintaining Product(s)

  • Considers risk and risk management in designing, developing and supporting Product(s)

Associate Management

  • Build and manage a team of Product Specialists as appropriate

  • Foster an environment of learning, innovation and disruption with direct reports and other stakeholders

  • Actively mentor Product team on communication, conflict resolution and sense of urgency

  • Comply with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations

  • Perform related duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; in lieu of a degree equivalent work experience will be considered

Experience & Skillsets:

  • 5 or more years of progressive leadership experience in a solutions or strategic environment

  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is desired

  • Extensive experience working within Pharmaceutical or Animal Health - high desired

  • Prior experience or knowledge of Pharmacy Operations - highly desired

  • Prior experience with systems integration, digital transformation, online retail, eComm sites - highly desired

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Advanced skills in leading client discussions with proven success in facilitating consensus on priorities and the path forward

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly present strategy and solution concepts to executives, sales teams and customers

  • Skilled in conflict management

  • Well versed in finance and accounting core concepts and principles.

  • Able to prepare a complex master schedule include of dependencies and resourcing

  • Able to effectively use communication tools (e.g. Office365) to keep stakeholders engaged and up to speed

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
