DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative and technical assistance to support Bureau of Elections in functions related to Pennsylvania Election Code and assist with all Bureau calls and walk-ins. Attention to detail and effective analytical abilities are essential for this position as you will be reviewing election related publications and instruction materials; recommending revisions; coordinating requests for translations from vendors; as well as entering data for various statistical reports required by state and federal laws. You will have the opportunity to assist the Division Chief and Civic Engagement & Community Impact Programs Manager in the planning and development of projects, including the annual county election officials' conference, ballot certification, the Governor's Civic Engagement Award, the county language access workgroup, and reapportionment of election districts. Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers and responding to inquiries
- Researching complaints
- Preparing certifications
- Conducting nomination petitions and nomination paper filings
- Preparing training material
- Serving as a liaison to the counties

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week after completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
