Koch Fertilizer Wever, LLC is looking for a 2026 Summer Process Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team in Wever, Iowa. The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2025.

What You Will Do

* Dive Into the Details: Learn to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other key technical documents, including piping isometric drawings, area plot plans, specifications, and process flow diagrams (PFDs).

* Develop an Eye for Precision: Review engineering document transmittals to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with our standards.

* Drive Innovation: Assist our staff engineers on large-scale projects that make a difference in our operations. You'll contribute ideas and learn the ins and outs of project execution.

* Lead Small Projects: Take ownership of smaller projects from start to finish, gaining valuable project management experience in the process.

* Analyze & Report: Collect and analyze process data to uncover insights that improve efficiency and operations.

* Hands-On Experience: Support pressure and catalyst surveys, getting a first-hand look at critical systems and processes.

* Collaborate & Learn: Work closely with a supportive team of professionals who are invested in helping you succeed.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Enrolled in an Engineering degree (Chemical, Biosystems, Ag Systems, or related field preferred)

* Eligible for full-time employment by graduation date

* Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

* Willing and able to meet all physical requirements:

o Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

o Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.

o Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.

o Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.

o Confined space entry may be required.
