The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Total Rewards Coordinator is responsible for working with the total rewards team by providing administrative, clerical, and operational assistance. This role will also assist with special projects and serve as a backup for various activities in support of the team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide operational support to the Total Rewards team (e.g., maintaining accurate records, assisting with internal and external correspondence, and assisting with projects) to ensure smooth and efficient team operations. Assist with audits, gathering info for required filings, generate ad hoc reports/requests as needed, and/or meeting minutes. Assist with total rewards and HR-related surveys. Support the development and upkeep of accurate, compliant, and up-to-date job descriptions that reflect current roles and organizational needs. Support job evaluations and job analysis processes. Provide benefit invoice and reconciliation administrative support. Serve as a resource for teammates by providing basic benefits assistance, including initial outreach for leave of absence or accommodation requests. Assist with new teammate onboarding benefit presentations. Collaborate with Benefits Specialists and HRIS to support annual open enrollment preparation. Help draft a variety of total rewards communications, including monthly wellness articles, benefit updates, and other employee resources. Provide support on special projects and initiatives led by the total rewards team. Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. Other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of compensation, benefits, and rewards structures. Awareness of federal and states regulations related to benefits and compensation (e.g., FLSA, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA). Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive matters with diplomacy, empathy, and confidentiality. Proficiency using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to effectively engage with teammates on day-to-day operations and cross-functional initiatives. Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday). Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships at all levels of an organization and to build successful, effective partnerships. High level of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and reporting. High energy level. Self- starter; willing to take initiative. EXPERIENCE Requirements
Two years of experience in Human Resources. Two years of experience supporting employee communications, such as preparing benefits guides, FAQs, or onboarding materials.
Preferences
Four years of experience in Human Resources. Two years of experience in total rewards, compensation, or benefits administration.
EDUCATION Requirements
Associate degree. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
