VTG is looking for a Engineering Process Consultant in Chantilly VA.


What will you do?

The Engineering Process Consultant supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of engineering processes, workflows, and documentation in alignment with program and customer requirements. This role facilitates technical exchange meetings, gathers and analyzes performance data, and develops process models and visualizations. The consultant also supports related activities such as training, testing, and demonstrations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate technical exchange meetings to capture stakeholder input and ensure alignment with engineering and program requirements.
  • Document engineering workflows, processes, and procedures to support operational consistency and quality.
  • Collect and analyze metrics and performance data to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop models, diagrams, and visualizations to communicate process designs and enhancements.
  • Ensure processes align with standards, requirements, and program objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to validate process effectiveness.
  • Support the development and delivery of training materials and sessions related to new or revised processes.
  • Assist with process-related testing and demonstrations, including scenario planning and validation exercises.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and support change management initiatives.

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Poly required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in process consulting, engineering operations, or technical program support.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in metrics collection, analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain processes.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to support training development and delivery.
  • Experience in systems testing, demonstrations, or validations is a plus.
