Hourly Pay Range:

$30.46 - $45.69 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

A Brief Overview:
Clinical Therapist role is part of the Aspirations Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Naperville. Aspirations is a specialized 3-hour daily program designed for adolescents and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1. It is the only program of its kind in our community, offering targeted sup-port for this underserved population. Aspirations maintains a robust census, reflecting the significant need within our community. Aspirations provides a space where persistent challenges in social communication, flexible thinking, and emotional regulation are recognized as core treatment targets.

What you will do:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with a range of mental health and behavioral concerns.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to promote patient well-being and recovery.
  • Collaborate with patients to set treatment goals and monitor progress.
  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine the nature and severity of patients' mental health conditions.
  • Formulate accurate diagnostic impressions and contribute to the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community resources, and agencies to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient and the treatment team.
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and changing needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and goals.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment summaries, and discharge summaries in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
  • Participate in case reviews and treatment team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.

What you will need:

Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Social work or a Master's Degree in a recognized mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree and completion of an approved substance abuse education program for assignment in the substance abuse area
  • Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned population
  • Ability to maintain information which is highly confidential
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation
  • Ability to demonstrate self-control in volatile or hostile situations
  • Ability to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintains therapeutic boundaries with patients during treatment and following discharge

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting

Required License and/or Certification:

  • Current State of Illinois licensure with a minimum of three letters which may include LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LSW (Licensed Social Worker), Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (ALMFT), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LCP (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) unless primary patient population is chemical dependency when a CADC is required
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
