Short Description The Art Therapist will plan, organize, and provide therapy that creates a caring and therapeutic environment, addresses mental health needs of the patient, and positively impacts the patient's/family's reaction to hospitalization. The Art Therapist will promote and encourage positive coping skills for patients/their families and will provide opportunities for growth and development through art, play, learning, and self-expression. Responsibilities 1.Provides Art Therapy services in Pediatrics, PICU, and adult Psych units Experience Required 0-2 experience required, 3-5 years of experience preferred Experience with children or in a medical setting preferred Education Requirements Masters's degree in Art Therapy License/Certification Requirements Registered Art Therapist- Provisional (ATR-P) required Registered Art Therapist / Board Certified (ATR or ATR-BC) preferred Must obtain provisional credential within 6 months of hire, if new grad Skills/Qualifications Communcation-Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers required Knowledge of cognitive, social, and emotional development in children required CPR-BLS preferred Special Requirements full time, 36 hours a week Hourly Rate Min $21
