We are looking for a Grinder Level 1 to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00

Minimum Job Requirements


  • Physical- capable of lifting 60 lbs. safely or with assistance. Capability of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing manual labor with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Working Hours- fulltime
  • Personal Traits- Good communication skills with positive teamwork attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow direction and or work independently, able to multi-task and trouble shoot. Punctual and safe work habits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Timely completion of job functions. Adhere to ISO-9001 quality systems. Produce customer parts and products in accordance with the established safety, quality, and cost standards of the Company. Authority to drive company forklift if trained. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.


  • Grind and finish parts in conformance with specifications and meet daily required production assignments.
  • Introduced to the customer's cosmetic standards and understand how this standard applies to visually inspecting production parts and components.
  • Introduced to the Dirt Estimation Chart.
  • Contribute to monthly scrap log
  • Operate, or in training to operate, Hand Tools, Stroke Sanders, Kuhlmeyer, and Bead Blasting equipment.
  • Continually show improvement with finishing procedures.
  • Work well with coworkers in a team environment.
  • Understand the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
  • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction by working with department supervisor.
  • Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively to other individuals in the department as well as other departments.
  • Complete task independently from job-list.
  • Follow and execute ISO Quality system procedures including, instructions on job traveler and control plan per ISO procedures.
  • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
  • Audit of materials and/or production parts before delivery to next operation area.
  • Maintain neat and clean work area.
  • Assist in monthly inventory process.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Possess basic math and reading skills including ability to read and use tape measure and caliper.

* Ability to visually inspect parts.

Education and Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent or 1-3 years of experience in similar function.
