Overview

Trimble is seeking a technical and customer-focused Solutions Consultant to play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant developer community and ensuring high-quality Connected Solutions (integrations and extensions) within the Trimble ecosystem and Marketplace. Similar to successful platforms like the Procore Marketplace and Autodesk Marketplace, the Trimble Marketplace will serve as a central hub for discovering, promoting, and selling Connected Solutions that enhance the core Trimble product experience. This role will be instrumental in empowering third-party sellers and creating a thriving ecosystem for buyers by providing technical guidance and certification for their solutions. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a best-in-class marketplace experience.

About the Role: As a Solutions Consultant for our Marketplace Program, you will be responsible for technically guiding and supporting product owners throughout their marketplace journey with Trimble. You will be a key point of contact for external product teams, ensuring their solutions meet Trimble's technical standards and are ready for the Marketplace. You will use your technical expertise to identify opportunities to streamline the process and solve complex technical problems. You will work closely with engineering, product, and legal teams to bring solutions to life and ensure a seamless experience for both product teams and end-users.

Responsibilities include:

• Define and execute the technical end-to-end user engagement model for third-party developers, including sandbox deployment, and the app review and certification process for Connected Solutions.

• Engage with Trimble, the Trimble user base, developers, and partners to understand their technical needs and ensure solutions deliver exceptional value.

• Review and certify third-party solutions for technical quality, security, and adherence to Trimble's solutions guidelines.

• Create clear and concise technical documentation, guides, and best practices for developers.

• Communicate technical insights and integration progress to stakeholders, gathering feedback and ensuring alignment.

Required Education and Experience:

• BA/BS degree.

• 5-8 years of previous experience in a role such as Solutions Consultant, Technical Project Manager, Developer Advocate, or a similar role focused on API integrations and developer support.

• Proven track record of successfully guiding developers through complex integration processes.

• Experience with end-to-end technical lifecycle management, from concept to deployment and iteration of integrations.

• Proficiency in defining technical requirements and creating detailed integration specifications.

• Ability to gather and analyze technical user feedback, translating it into actionable insights for the development team.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable technical solutions.

• High level of comfort with technology and its development.

• Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

• Excellent technical documentation skills along with in-depth knowledge of API design and integration strategies.

• Experience creating detailed reports and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders.

• Previous experience in collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop effective technical messaging and go-to-market strategies for integrations.

• A track record of successfully making and keeping commitments.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
