JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Dignitas Technologies is seeking a motivated Vehicle Communication Data/Network Maintenance Instructor. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Functions/Duties

The individual should have:

  • knowledge, skills and attributes of internetworking fundamentals, operations, configuration management, and execution of diagnostic tests and interpretation of results.
  • removal and installation of major components.
  • determination if the system/subsystem is malfunctioning.
  • isolation and location of malfunctions in the Line Replaceable Units (LRU).
  • replacement of defective LRU's.
  • troubleshooting and repair of system and subsystem malfunctions, and performance of routine preventative maintenance functions of the Mobile Modular Command and Control (C2) systems installed on Assault Amphibious C2 platform that provide staff access to network enclaves:
  • Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet),
  • Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRnet) and Mission Specific communications.
  • The instructor will train members on how to install, operate, and troubleshoot interoperable tactical and enterprise communication suites, through the use of advanced systems, including Microsoft based curriculum and MS Exchange/Server, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) modules 1, 2 and 3, as well as other authorized cyber network systems.
  • The instructor will review and provide recommended changes to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations.
  • They will deliver instruction incident events identified for the Assault Amphibious Family of Vehicles (FOVs), and the associated training systems.
  • Will be responsible for the upkeep of his or her assigned periods of instruction and other administrative tasks associated with maintenance of the communications curriculum.

Specific Skills

  • Strong understanding of data and voice networking fundamentals, including internetworking concepts, configuration management, and diagnostics.
  • Experience instructing tactical or enterprise communication systems in a military training environment.
  • Familiarity with ACV FoV communication systems and Mobile Modular C2 suites.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend technical English, including language related to encryption, networking, diagnostics, and system integration.
  • Proficient in conducting PMCS, inspecting communication components, and performing field-level maintenance tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft-based systems, MS Exchange/Server, and Cisco CCNA (Modules 1-3) content.
  • Familiarity with COMSEC practices, key loading, and frequency management for secure communications systems.
  • Experience in coordinating KMI practices and maintaining COMSEC program integrity.

Required Education/Certifications

  • Must be current USMC Swim Qualification Intermediate, or capable of qualifying as such.
  • Must have a current SVET Qualification or capable of qualifying in the SVET.

Preferred Education

Preferred graduates of Instructor Development Course (IDC) and or Curriculum Developers Course (CDC). Prior Formal Learning Center experience is a plus.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must have an active secret clearance.
